London Bridge Station was today named in the shortlist for UK architecture’s most prestigious award, the RIBA Stirling Prize 2019.

• “Inspirational” and “thought-provoking” conference hosted by Patrick Verwer, GTR Chief Executive Officer, David Statham, Southeastern MD, and John Halsall, Network Rail Southern region MD 
• Guest speakers including Diane Lightfoot OBE, CEO of the Business Disability Forum, and Blessing Buraimoh, Diversity Adviser for Business in the Community, shared how the industry can better reflect the customers it serves

The rebuilding of London Bridge station has been awarded top marks in the prestigious CEEQUAL scheme.

Network Rail and Southeastern welcomed the Accessibility Minister, Nusrat Ghani MP, to Hither Green and New Eltham stations on Monday (8 July) to mark the first anniversary of the government's Inclusive Transport Strategy.

Over 15,000 metres of new fencing and gates have been installed at nearly 300 stations across Kent, Sussex and south London as part of a £2.3 million project to stop people trespassing on the railway.

• Overall satisfaction at the route’s four managed stations – London Bridge, Victoria, Charing Cross and Cannon Street – is 85.5%
• Punctuality satisfaction increases 11% year-on-year according to passenger watchdog Transport Focus

Services will be diverted to alternative London stations and buses will replace trains on some routes as Network Rail works to improve the railway as part of its £1.25bn Kent and South East London Railway Upgrade Plan

London Bridge Station has been named Architects’ Journal Building of the Year 2019.
