Passengers using Manchester Piccadilly station are being urged to ‘think in threes’ as the Christmas markets return to the city.

Passengers will soon benefit from the major overhaul of an historic station footbridge on the Cumbrian Coast line.

• London Northwestern Railway services will be significantly reduced on Friday 4 November due to a strike by the TSSA
• Passengers should only travel if absolutely necessary during further RMT strike action on 5, 7 and 9 November
• On those days a special timetable will be in place with only four trains per hour leaving London Euston
• Many routes will have no trains at all - those which do run will start later from 7:30am and finish by 6.30pm
• Passengers are reminded to plan ahead using National Rail Enquiries and to expect disruption

Passengers are being advised of essential upgrades to platforms 13 and 14 at Manchester Piccadilly station this Christmas and New Year.

Major work on the Trent Valley line to replace track and upgrade the railway signalling system to improve future rail journeys for passengers is now complete.
