Network Rail and East Midlands Railway are advising passengers of changes to services on two weekends in November as work on the Midland Main Line Upgrade continues.

Network Rail, East Midlands Railway and Govia Thameslink have today (Thursday, 24 October) thanked passengers for their patience whilst work took place to repair a broken rail on the route.

Damage to overhead line equipment on the Great Eastern Main Line is severely affecting services to London Liverpool Street with Greater Anglia advising passengers not to travel and to seek alternative arrangements.

Network Rail, East Midlands Railway and Govia Thameslink Railway are urging passengers to check before travelling as there is significant disruption to services using the Midland Main Line today.

Network Rail is reminding residents, passengers and businesses in West Yorkshire that the first stage of public consultation on plans to upgrade the railway between Huddersfield and Westtown (Dewsbury) ends this week.

Network Rail has completed a £150,000 upgrade at Knaresborough station to improve the roof and bring benefits for passengers, visitors and businesses.

Passengers are being asked to check before they travel as work continues to upgrade Leeds station on Saturday, 26 and Sunday, 27 October and reminded that the first services which run on Sunday will be extremely busy. 

Network Rail and train operators on the East Coast Main Line have today (Monday, 14 October) announced the next set of dates which will see major improvement work take place as part of the East Coast Upgrade, including two weekends when there will be no trains to or from London King’s Cross.
