Network Rail engineers have today (Tuesday, 28 May) started a significant stage of work to the railway line in Market Harborough as part of the Midland Main Line Upgrade.

Network Rail is inviting residents in Leeds to find out more about the latest stage of improvements to the city’s railway station.

Today (Tuesday, 21 May) Heritage Minister Michael Ellis attended the signing of a Heritage Partnership Agreement (HPA) at King’s Cross Station with Historic England, Network Rail and Camden Council.  The HPA helps to ensure the efficient future management of the nationally significant site by streamlining the formal listed building consent process.

The re-developed Hackney Wick station has won a prestigious Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) London award ahead of a strong group of other shortlisted projects.

As people prepare for the bank holiday getaway, Network Rail is advising passengers to plan their journeys in advance of the weekend.

Network Rail and East Midlands Trains are reminding passengers on the Midland Main Line to plan ahead and check before travelling as major work takes place as part of the Midland Main Line Upgrade.

Network Rail has successfully completed a major project at Headingley station which will improve accessibility and make using the station much easier.

Passengers are reminded to plan their journeys in advance as there will be no trains between Southend Victoria and Wickford for nine days as part of a major upgrade of the overhead wires.
