Rail passengers using services between Long Eaton and Derby are being warned to expect disruption all day tomorrow (Friday 15 November) after flooding at Draycott, near Long Eaton.

Network Rail and Northern are pleased to confirm to passengers that Rotherham Central station will reopen tomorrow (Friday, 15 November) with train services planned to resume for the start of service.

Network Rail and train operators are warning rail passengers of disruption to services across the county due to heavy rain which has caused flooding on the railway.

Network Rail, TransPennine Express and Northern are working together to extend the platforms at seven stations on the Penistone line, with work starting at Huddersfield station on Wednesday, 20 November.

Network Rail has today (Monday, 4 November) announced that work to upgrade the footbridge at Welwyn Garden City station will begin on Sunday, 22 December.
