Network Rail and LNER have released broadcast quality footage for you to download and use ahead of the main stage of work on the £1.2billion East Coast Upgrade starting next week. 

Three level crossings in Woodbridge, Suffolk will be upgraded with new equipment that will make them safer starting this weekend (27 February). Access over the crossings will be maintained throughout the work.

Passengers travelling on the line between Bristol and Weymouth can look forward to a more reliable railway following vital maintenance between Dorchester West and Castle Cary last week.

Network Rail has submitted plans to Teignbridge District Council to extend an existing rockfall shelter over the railway line between Dawlish and Holcombe.

Passengers are advised to plan ahead for major work on the Arun Valley Line in the summer. Network Rail engineers will be rebuilding a crucial section of West Sussex’s railway, including a nine day period in August when there will be no trains through Horsham, plus five weekends of engineering closures in July, September and October.

Refurbishment and repair work at Dover Priory station will increase the life span of the footbridge while providing an upgraded canopy roof on the platforms to keep passengers dry in the rain.

An historic luggage bridge which was removed from Worcester Shrub Hill station last year will soon be replaced with an identical-looking replica built with stronger modern materials.

Network Rail’s construction works at Romford station continue to move forward to deliver step free access, a new entrance and a fully refurbished and improved ticket office, ready for the opening of the Elizabeth line.
