A new digital system to let communities know about work taking place on the railway near their homes has been launched across Network Rail’s Western route, which runs from Paddington to Penzance.

Passengers using platforms 13 and 14 at Manchester Piccadilly station will soon benefit from a revamp of the waiting area.

From Monday 16 to Friday 20 October, buses will replace Great Western Railway (GWR) trains between Yeovil Pen Mill and Weymouth while Network Rail engineers carry out work to bring smoother and more reliable journeys on the Heart of Wessex line.
