David Linden, Member of Parliament (MP) for Glasgow East, visited Muirhead Road in Baillieston today (Monday, 9 July) to view progress being made by Network Rail engineers to reconstruct the road bridge in his constituency.

Network Rail’s community safety managers were in Manchester Piccadilly and Birmingham New Street last week promoting rail safety to customers and passengers passing through the stations.

The rail industry has reviewed its plans for the winter timetable following disruption in parts of the country after the May timetable change and will make fewer changes to ensure people get a more reliable service. 

- Euston shut 18-19 + 25-27 August + 1-2 Sept

- To allow Network Rail to replace North Wembley junction which is old and needs replacing

- Train customers advised to travel on other days

Platforms 1 and 2 in Liverpool Lime Street station are set to close again on Friday (13 July). This will allow Network Rail engineers to complete the final stage of the station’s major eight week transformation.
