PHOTOCALL: THE RAISING OF FRESHFORD STATION

Journalists are invited to the official opening of the newly raised platform with Network Rail and local stakeholders. Work began in November 2005 to raise the surface of Platform 2 by approximately 300mm to make it easier for rail passengers to get on and off trains. In addition to this work, passengers will benefit from new lighting on both platforms and a new waiting shelter on Platform 2. The official opening will be followed by a celebratory buffet lunch at the Inn at Freshford to which journalists are most welcome to join attend.
