ENGINEERING WORKS BETWEEN THEALE & WESTBURY

Essential maintenance works will be taking place between Theale and Westbury for the next seven weekends.  Train services will not be running along this line every Sunday on 24 July, 31 July, 14 August, 21 August, 4 September and 11 September. Robbie Burns, Network Rail’s Western Route Director, said: “This important engineering work is part of our commitment to provide a safe and reliable railway.  We will do our utmost to ensure that disruption is kept to a minimum.” Work will also be taking place during the week after 21:00 on 1-2 August, 4-5 August, 29-30 August and 1-2 September.  The work will include laying new rail and ballast.
