Network Rail has kicked off its campaign to increase the number of females employed on Britain’s railways with an event at Ash Manor School in Surrey, which is designed to show teenage girls the enormous breadth of careers available in engineering and the wider railway industry.

Network Rail has released shocking footage of deliberate misuse of a level crossing in Bedfordshire despite the crossing being the scene of a fatal collision in January. 

Network Rail will begin work to renovate Station Street footbridge in Long Eaton as part of the Railway Upgrade Plan.

While Liverpool Lime Street was closed for emergency repairs, engineers seized the chance to bring forward a series of railway improvements, Network Rail revealed today (9 March).
