Network Rail has had over 1,000 new rails delivered by sea to Scrabster Harbour in an innovative first for Scotland’s railway.

Residents near Fox Park in Easton, Bristol, have been invited to a drop-in event next Monday to find out more about upcoming works to upgrade the Stapleton Road viaduct.

Passengers will be able to travel in and out of Liverpool Lime Street station from the start of service on Thursday 9 March.

Aerial footage released today (2 March) shows the extent of the damage to the wall on the approach to Liverpool Lime Street station.

Residents and passengers in Cornwall are reminded that a level crossing in Lostwithiel will temporarily close from Friday as Network Rail continues to deliver its Railway Upgrade Plan.

Network Rail has installed a new footbridge over the railway near Niddry Castle in Winchburgh – the final structure to be replaced – thus clearing the line for the electrification of the railway between Edinburgh and Glasgow.  

Willingdon Trees residents are being encouraged to take part in a public vote to decide how up to £10,000 of community funding from Network Rail will be spent. Three community projects are competing for the funding as part of a Network Rail pilot project to work more closely with local communities and railway neighbours.
