Network Rail has launched a public exhibition at the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) showcasing the best footbridge designs that were submitted as entries to an international competition last year.

Passengers and residents in Lytham St Annes are being reminded of changes to rail services from this weekend as a result of bridge work in the town.

This National Apprenticeship Week (4-8 March), Network Rail Wales and Borders is calling for people to join its award-winning apprenticeship scheme, as it embarks on its £2bn five-year funding plan to improve journeys for passengers.

Network Rail has announced community drop-in sessions in Plymouth, Truro and Penzance to update local communities on ongoing work to improve the resilience of the stretch of railway that connects Cornwall and South Devon with the rest of the country.

Network Rail has thanked residents and passengers for their patience following the successful completion of railway upgrade work between Swansea and Port Talbot, which will make the railway more reliable for passengers.

Network Rail is inviting residents in Cleethorpes to find out more about the closure of Suggitt’s Lane level crossing in the town.

Work will start later this month to install new lifts, ramps and a footbridge at Stechford station to ensure step-free access across all three platforms for the first time.
