Mardy Road Bridge in Cardiff will close to road traffic from 20 March 2017 until autumn 2018, as essential work to upgrade the railway continues in preparation for a new fleet of electric trains which will improve journeys for passengers.

Engineers will be working throughout this weekend (March 18 and 19) in Forres as they continue to construct the railway infrastructure needed to deliver the town’s new train station.

Passengers are being urged to check before they travel ahead of a vital £100m investment on the Calder Valley line as part of the Railway Upgrade Plan in West Yorkshire.
