Bridges in SW London, Wiltshire and Somerset are being hit by high vehicles almost four times a week as Network Rail reminds drivers to know the height of their vehicle before they set off or face tougher penalties.

The rich history of one of the most iconic and well-known railway stations in the world will be told in a new documentary which airs on Channel 5 tonight (Monday, 9 November).

Network Rail is warning motorists that Springfield Road in Grantham will need to close overnight on two additional dates to allow major work to the town’s railway bridges to progress.
