Network Rail has released photos of a brand-new platform, Platform 0, at Leeds station following its completion over the festive period.

Services are running again on the line between Horsham and Dorking after Network Rail engineers and contractors repaired a 30 metre landslip, not far from Ockley station.

A Grade II footbridge at Lancaster station is being refurbished as the city’s railway station evolves for the future.

Track, sleepers and ballast will be replaced by Network Rail’s engineers as part of a programme of upgrade works to make train services more reliable on the Harwich branch line.

Network Rail engineers worked around the clock over Christmas and New Year to deliver vital rail upgrades across Sussex and south London.

Teams of engineers have worked 24/7 over Christmas and the New Year to renew and upgrade railways across south-east London and Kent, providing better journeys for passengers in 2021.

Network Rail is reminding passengers to check before travelling as weekend upgrade and renewal works will be taking place on the Great Eastern main line and on the Southend Victoria line this January and February to improve reliability for train services.
