Rail passengers travelling through Liverpool Lime Street for the opening ceremony of Eurovision 2023 are being advised to carefully plan their journeys.

The main taxi rank at Leeds Station is set to relocate as two big projects to improve the station hit the ground. 

East Midlands passengers are being urged to plan ahead, as reliability-boosting track renewal work in two tunnels means significant changes to services on the Midland Main Line and Derwent Valley line, from Saturday 27 May to Monday 11 June.

Network Rail reopened Nazeing New Road on time yesterday morning after completing a four-month project to deliver a replacement bridge. The new bridge is expected to help road users and train passengers travel through the area safely and reliably for 120 years. It needed to be fully replaced as it had reached the end of its useful life.

Network Rail has worked with partners from across the rail industry to upgrade the track and restore St Blazey turntable to its former glory in preparation for Flying Scotsman’s visit Cornwall this weekend.
