Network Rail has formed an official construction partnership to build the new Ordsall Chord in Manchester, which will help improve rail travel for commuters across the north of England.

A Network Rail community relations executive has helped to inspire young people from across Essex with hearing loss, when he gave a presentation to children at St Clere’s school in Stanford-Le-Hope this week.

Network Rail is urging residents and businesses to provide their views on plans for a new link connecting the rail network from the west to London Heathrow, ahead of the latest deadline for feedback of Monday 4 April.

Network Rail’s orange army successfully completed the planned upgrade of the railway in the Cardiff area over the Easter weekend and on Tuesday 29 March.

Passengers travelling between Bristol and Bath from 2 to 11 April are being advised to check before they travel as Network Rail carries out work to prepare the Great Western Main Line for the arrival of a new fleet of longer, faster, quieter and greener electric trains.

Passengers travelling into London Waterloo will benefit from more reliable journeys as a result of Network Rail’s Easter investment, part of Network Rail’s £40billion Railway Upgrade Plan.
