Network Rail's Kent and Sussex routes manage between them the 2,000 miles of railway from London Victoria, Charing Cross, London Bridge, St Pancras and Cannon Street into South London, Kent, Sussex, and Surrey. A quarter of all the trains in the country run on these routes, with more than 5,100 services every weekday (1.8m in total last year). More than 510m people travel on these routes every year with more than 3,000 staff employed to keep them moving. Train operators on these routes include Southeastern, Greater Thameslink Railway (GTR), Eurostar and First Rail London (FRL).
