UPDATE: Network Rail statement on train disruption owing to gas leak in Didcot

We're sorry for the continued disruption to journeys caused by the gas leak near the railway in Didcot, and we understand how frustrating this ongoing uncertainty is for passengers trying to plan ahead.
In partnership with train operators, Network Rail is continuing to liaise closely with gas company SGN as they carry out the vital repairs needed to allow the railway to reopen. We don't yet have confirmation that these repairs will be completed this evening.
We will provide a further update later this evening on tomorrow's train service. In the meantime, it's essential that SGN's engineers are able to complete this safety-critical work properly, as this is what will allow the railway to reopen.
Passengers are advised to check their journey again in the morning before travelling, as the situation may change overnight.
