A £9 million investment to enhance accessibility at Grays station in Essex has been successfully completed, bringing two new platform lifts that provide step-free access from the main entrance to both platforms.

The South Rail Systems Alliance (SRSA) has successfully completed the required infrastructure upgrades on the West Anglia main line to support the future rail services for Cambridge South station.

Network Rail has developed a bold and collaborative vision to transform Britain’s busiest station, London Liverpool Street. The planning application for the redevelopment scheme has been validated by the City of London.

Passengers across East Anglia are being reminded to check before travelling this Christmas as London Liverpool Street will be closed for eight days and engineering work will close all routes in the Cambridge area until 5 January. 

Network Rail has awarded a £22 million contract to Morgan Sindall Infrastructure, to bring more light into London Liverpool Street by renewing the roof panels as well as improving the drainage system of station’s Victorian trainshed.

Passengers across East Anglia are being encouraged to check before travelling this Christmas as engineering work will be taking place, affecting some rail services over the festive period.

Weekend engineering work for the construction of Beaulieu Park station will continue this autumn to integrate the new transport hub for Chelmsford into the existing railway network.
