NETWORK RAIL STATEMENT - SIGNALLERS' STRIKE, SCOTLAND

At the conclusion of today’s talks regarding next week’s strike, David Simpson, Network Rail Route Director, Scotland commented:
"Following a day of negotiations hosted by ACAS, talks will reconvene on Monday morning.
"In the meantime, we have requested that the strike is suspended in order to spare passengers the prospect of four days of severe service disruption. Network Rail is disappointed that the RMT has refused this request."
