MEDIA INVITATION: FORTH BRIDGE ‘RED HOT’ MYSTERY MAKEOVER REVEALED

Date:                           Monday 21 February 2005 Time:                          6pm Location:                    Binks car park, Rose Lane, off High Street, South Queensferry (situated at the end of the village away from the Forth Bridge behind Mandarin Take Away and the Episcopal Church) Event:                         Lenny Henry, star of comedy and long-serving supporter of Comic Relief will transform the appearance of the Forth Bridge and help Scotland get ‘reddy’ for Red Nose Day Media contact:          0141 555 4109            It will be a Red Letter Day for the Forth Bridge as Network Rail and Comic Relief join forces to reveal the bridge’s mystery makeover in advance of Red Nose Day on 11 March 2005. Lenny Henry, well known star of the British comedy scene, will switch on the lights to illuminate a Forth Bridge ‘reddy’ to play its part in this biennial charity event.  The lights were switched off on Sunday 13 February to carry out some ‘special’ maintenance work. Joining Lenny for the big switch on will be Ron McAulay, Route Director, Scotland for Network Rail and Karl Reynolds, Nations and Regions Manager for Comic Relief. Journalists and photographers are invited to attend.
