‘Deck the Halls’: This December Network Rail is hosting a Christmas charity concert to spread festive cheer and raise money for the Railway Benefit Fund at London Bridge station

The London Transport choir will be serenading the station with heart-warming Christmas carols, alongside the majestic sound of the church organ to help raise money for the Railway Benefit Fund (RBF).

On Monday 18 December, the harmonising sounds of the London Transport choir and church organ will be echoing through the arches of London Bridge station as they play a medley of Christmas carols.

The event will start at 6.00pm with light refreshments also being served and the money raised will support RBF, a charity which provides support to current, former and retired railway people and their families across the United Kingdom.

The church organ, which is based at the heart of London Bridge station (affectionately known as Henry), was donated to the station by charity Pipe Up – a charity that rescues organs from abandoned churches and restores them.

Cem Davis, Network Rail’s London Bridge station manager, said: “We love working with charities to raise money for good causes and I’m really pleased that we’re hosting this specific event to raise money for the Railway Benefit Fund and making use of the much beloved organ which was rehomed at the heart of the station last year.”
