Network Rail is advising of changes to a temporary footpath closure as they continue work to monitor ground movement.

The environment, the economy and the regional road network are to benefit from an £18m investment in the railway in the Peak District.

Work on the programme to redevelop Livingston South station has been extended after encountering unforeseen ground conditions and a subsequent delay in developing an appropriate design for the new lifts to be constructed in the station.

Passengers planning to travel on the East Coastway are being reminded to check before they travel during August as Network Rail carries out a major upgrade to the lines between Lewes and Seaford.

Internationally recognised engineers, architects and urban planners have been appointed to help shape the long term future of Edinburgh’s Waverley Station.

Farmers whose land is near the railway across Wales and Borders are being asked to notify Network Rail of any damaged fencing or changes to the location of grazing livestock. The call comes after an increase in instances of animals getting on to the railway during the recent hot weather.
