Network Rail is reminding passengers that there will be a reduced service on the East Coast Main Line this weekend as the next stage of a £1.2billion investment into the route takes place.

Network Rail is thanking passengers in South Wales and lineside neighbours in Cardiff and Newport today as upgrade work on the railway over the festive period is now complete.

All train services have today (Monday, 30 December) resumed at Leeds station after Network Rail has successfully completed the next stage of a major project to improve services for passengers.
