Major track upgrade will affect train services across parts of south London

New suppliers to provide planned and reactive maintenance across Network Rail's Southern Region.

Bakerloo line and London Overground passengers are being advised of essential railway upgrades which will impact journeys over six days at the beginning of August.  

Network Rail is to carry out more than £5 million of major engineering work south of Leicester station which will improve reliability for passengers for years to come.

A major milestone has been hit as Network Rail teams have successfully electrified the line between Kettering and Wigston, allowing for greener and quieter journeys along the Midland Main Line in the future.
