Motorists ignore the flashing lights, klaxons and lowering barriers. The last car almost gets stuck on the crossing which would have resulted in both trains and cars getting delayed as the signaller would be unable to give the approaching train a green light. The motorist received a £400 fine, £80 costs and 4 points on their licence after being prosecuted with careless driving.

Approach road constructed to serve new bridge - alternative route for former Old Chapel crossing users

Taken in Leeds A vehicle containing scrap metal was seen near the line.  The officer in the helicopter contacted those on the ground who stopped the vehicle.  The driver had not committed any offence.
