Lancashire and Cumbria RUS
Friday 29 Aug 2008
With the introduction of the new West Coast timetable, there is a real opportunity to make improvements to rail services in Lancashire and Cumbria. This RUS highlights where we believe there is an opportunity to make local connections better, improving rail links between some of the bigger towns and cities making the railway a more attractive option for commuters. This strategy sets out how rail can play a bigger role in Lancashire and Cumbria, providing a real benefit to communities and driving economic growth.
In addition to informal consultation with a wide group of stakeholders throughout the process, a formal consultation took place between April and July 2008.
