Daryl Levison, 20, from Ilford in east London joined Network Rail’s advanced apprenticeship scheme in 2007. Her first year was spent at Europe’s largest specialist engineering training centre at HMS Sultan in Gosport, Hampshire where apprentices live and work alongside the Royal Navy, sharing state-of-the-art recreation and sports facilities. Now in her final year, Darryl is based at Network Rail’s Romford depot where she is specialising in signalling.
