Section of Trinity Way to temporarily close during bridge work

A part of Trinity Way, bordering Manchester and Salford, will temporarily close this weekend while a railway bridge is built over the ring road.

Beam and girder installations on the Trinity Way Bridge, which forms part of the Ordsall Chord, will mean:

  • the northbound carriageway will be closed overnight between Hampson Street and Irwell Street from 9pm until 5am on Saturday 13 May 2017.
  • there will be a northbound lane closure on Saturday 13 May from 7am until 8pm.
  • a further full closure will be in place between Hampson Street and Irwell Street from 8pm Saturday 13 May until 5am Monday 15 May 2017.

Diversionary routes will be in place throughout the work.
