Passengers warned about major disruption at Euston due to trespass incident

Passengers are being warned of major disruption at Euston station this evening (25 October) due to a trespass incident which forced the closure of the West Coast main line.
The emergency services were called after reports of a trespasser on the railway near Wembley Central shortly after 4.30pm.
All four lines were blocked while Network Rail worked with the emergency services dealing with the incident.
Lines are now reopen but there will be severe disruption for passengers for the rest of the evening.
James Dean, managing director for Network Rail’s West Coast main line south route, said: “Our specialist teams have been working with the emergency services to deal with a serious trespass incident this evening near Wembley Central. I’d urge passengers to check www.nationalrail.co.uk for the latest travel information. We thank people for their patience while we try to get services back up and running.”
Trains are now starting to run in and out of Euston again. With the station concourse currently very busy, at times crowd management will need to be put in place.
