COMMUNITY INVITED TO INFORMATION CENTRE

As part of its commitment to keep the community fully informed about the Trent Valley Four Tracking (TV4) project, Network Rail will bring an information centre to the Castle Hotel , Lady Bank, Tamworth, 4 April, 10am to 8pm. Local people are invited to come and discuss the works with representatives from Network Rail. Project managers and engineers will be on hand to answer any queries people may have about the project. The TV4 project is part of the £8bn upgrade of the West Coast main line, and involves the doubling of the railway to four tracks along a 19km section between Armitage and Tamworth to remove a major bottleneck. The works will include widening embankments and cuttings, installing new drainage, modifying and installing electric and signalling equipment, replacing the Gungate public road bridge and footbridges and installing new tracks.
