Ashford and Kent rail passengers are advised to plan ahead and check before they travel over Christmas 2019, especially if travelling on Friday 27 December, as Network Rail works to improve the railway as part of record investment plans for the Kent network. 

Network Rail is advising passengers in South Wales to plan their journeys in advance as work to electrify the South Wales Main Line continues this weekend.

Network Rail has completed a £150,000 upgrade at Knaresborough station to improve the roof and bring benefits for passengers, visitors and businesses.

Pontypridd railway bridge has been transformed into a stunning piece of art. Network Rail has teamed up with celebrated London-based street artist, Lionel Stanhope, to paint a mural on Pontypridd railway bridge with the aim of contributing to regeneration in the area.

Passengers are being asked to check before they travel as work continues to upgrade Leeds station on Saturday, 26 and Sunday, 27 October and reminded that the first services which run on Sunday will be extremely busy. 

A day to celebrate the country’s 2,563 railway stations in being used to showcase the improvements at the third busiest station, London Liverpool Street.

Passengers are being advised about work starting in two weeks to replace lifts at Watford Junction station.
