Thousands of pounds have been spent making repairs to a Cumbrian Coast line station building which is home to a popular visitor attraction.

Network Rail engineers have constructed what is believed to be the first ‘beaver pass’ in the country under the Highland mainline.

It has taken a while, but the sun has finally arrived, and Network Rail Southern region is celebrating the start of the summer holidays with free ice cream and a selfie competition at its amazing London stations.

Network Rail will install two temporary staircases at Royston station next month to save Great Northern and Thameslink passengers time switching between the two platforms while the footbridge is out of action.

Preparatory works for cutting reinforcement project continued this Saturday (24 July). Buses will replace trains between Maidstone East and Ashford International.

The railway through Troon station is set to reopen on Friday (July 23).

West Coast main line journeys for passengers and freight in Cheshire will be smoother and more reliable thanks to track upgrade work next month.
