Passengers travelling between London Euston and Scotland over the early May bank holiday are being urged to check before they travel ahead of the long weekend with Euston closed to all but London Overground passengers on Sunday 5 May. 

A new footbridge over the railway line in Kibworth has opened which will allow Network Rail engineers to continue to electrify the Midland Main Line.

Network Rail Scotland and Netball Scotland have extended their education partnership to spread vital rail safety messages to young people across Scotland. This a timely announcement as the railway delivers their annual spring safety campaign.

Network Rail's Lord Peter Hendy joined Central route director Denise Wetton, with staff and students from Woodrush Academy and The Tree Council, to plant new trees in the school's grounds as part of a new collaborative partnership.

A new hedgerow has been planted at the recently renovated Great Malvern railway station to further enhance the environment and increase biodiversity.

Network Rail reopened the bridge over the railway at Thornton Road in East Kilbride today, Monday 22 April.

Passengers are being asked to check before they travel between Carmarthen and Milford Haven/Fishguard Harbour next week when Network Rail will be carrying out essential work on the platforms at Clarbeston Road station.

The sinkhole was discovered by track engineers on 21 April and the line has been closed to allow investigation work to be undertaken.
