This area comprises three of Network Rail's routes – East Coast, North & East and East Midlands.
This includes the East Coast Main Line from the Scottish border to London King's Cross and the Midland Main Line from Sheffield to London St Pancras. It also covers the North East, Yorkshire, Lincolnshire, Bedfordshire and the East Midlands, plus parts of Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire.
Train operators include London North Eastern Railway, Northern, East Midlands Railway, TransPennine Express, Grand Central, Hull Trains, CrossCountry, Thameslink, Great Northern and Lumo.
No trains in or out of London King’s Cross or Moorgate, or from the East Coast Main Line into St Pancras International, on Saturday, 20 and Sunday, 21 June so new overhead line equipment can be installed.
Project is part of £1.2billion upgrade which will enable more reliable journeys between London, Peterborough and Cambridge.

A £1million Network Rail project to upgrade the footbridge at Welwyn Garden City station will now reopen in June and complete in the Summer, after additional defects were identified and severe weather and social distancing measures impacted on progress.
