South Wales passengers planning to travel over the weekend of Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 April 2017 are advised that no trains will be operating between Cardiff Central and Cardiff Queen Street stations.

‘Once more unto the beach, dear friends!’ Channel swimmers join Network Rail to celebrate reopening of Shakespeare Beach
For decades, Channel swimmers have begun their epic journeys towards France from Shakespeare Beach in Dover. Now for the first time since Boxing Day 2015, when a massive storm damaged the sea wall behind the beach and the railway above it, swimmers can return to the shingle shore and enjoy one of Dover’s hidden gems after a new footbridge restored access to the beach.
Bridge replacement work back on track for Glasgow Road, Carmuirs
Work is set to resume at Glasgow Road, Carmuirs to replace the railway bridge over the A803 between Camelon and Bonnybridge. The project, originally scheduled for autumn last year was postponed as the team could not get sufficient ‘access time’ to the railway line to complete the job
